The Big Day

After ten years of togetherness, the big day finally arrived. Rodney and I were finally getting married. We invited our closest friends and family for an intimate affair. By my side were my closest friends, some life long and some newly acquired: Sarah, Sara, Amanda, Britton, and Lauree. Rodney too had old and new friends stand up for him: Mike, Daniel, Adam, Sergio, and Buddy. We were so grateful to be surrounded by everyone who loved us.The night before the wedding, my bridesmaids and I stayed at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center. It was nice to have one last slumber party just like we did in the fourth grade. We woke up bright and early that Sunday morning. With lots of hot coffee and mimosas (unfortunately mine were virgin) we started the beautification process. Sara and Lauree, however, enjoy several bottles of champagne- I'm not even sure there was orange juice in those mimosas. It had been nearly 24 hours since Rodney and I had seen each other. Prior to the ceremony we were with our bridesmaids and groomsmen preparing for the big event. The first time we saw each other that day was before signing the ketubah (Jewish marriage license). It was a good thing for me because I got the tears out before the ceremony. Zachary was so excited to be a part of our wedding that he split is tuxedo getting out his energy. It so nice to know he will be able to carry the memory of our wedding with him throughout his life. As I walked down the aisle with both of my parents by my side, I realized how many people have touched our lives. I was so grateful to share this milestone with each of them. Our reception was fabulous. It would not have been a proper Coty-Morrow party without lots of dancing, lots of alcohol (although my drinks were virgin), lots of good food, and most definitely good friends. So, that's it....our wedding. That was the day Rodney, Zachary, and I officially became the Cotys. We just couldn't wait to add to it!!

Bridal Luncheon

My Aunt Kathy gave me a bridal luncheon at the House of Tricks a week before my wedding. It was such a wonderful gift. We had a secluded room where we were able to spend time with each other uninterrupted. Thank you Kathy!

Bridal Shower

Right after Thanksgiving my girlfriends shotgun bridal shower. However, you would never know it had been planned in just a few weeks. As soon as I announced I was getting married before the end of the year, the shower invitations were out the door.
Yes, I got to wear the princess crown at my own shower (although I wear the crown every day)! Thank you to my very best friends for giving me a shower to remember forever! And thank you to everyone for the wonderful gifts, recipes, and words of wisdom.

Bridal Fitting

In November 2007, Rodney proposed to me. We planned a short engagement and hoped for a wedding by the end of the year. I quickly found my wedding dress and my bridesmaids came to my very first fitting.

Family Vacation- Summer 2007

Over the summer we took several trips to California. We went to Knott's Berry Farm, Seal Beach, and Vience Beach. We even took time to catch up with friends in Los Angeles and met up with our Phoenician friends, the Vercauteren's.

After an exhausting trip in Los Angeles, we headed home for our next exciting adventure.
